Hello!
We're just two fashion students...
with countless stories to tell.
Introductions...
Alison: Hello! My name is Alison, but people usually call me Al. Fits my personality more. I love s'mores, traveling, man buns (some could call me obsessed) and fashion. I think fashion is art and a great way to express yourself. I also think fashion has the power to create change and help others. I'm not sure what my job will be in the future but as long as I am using fashion to help others I've reached my goal.
Abby: My turn! I'm not really sure how to introduce myself in a blog setting, but I'll just start off by saying that since becoming a fashion student, I have learned not to take myself too seriously. My ultimate career goal is to work in the plus size fashion industry - promoting inner beauty and self confidence. And in my amateur depiction of the fashion world, I am utterly in love with the idea that anyone can be portrayed as beautiful when adorned with quality, fearlessness, and a smile.
P.S. Also, my favorite color is black, but my life deems quite the opposite.
What does finding freedom mean to us?
What does finding freedom mean to us?
Al: Finding freedom means a lot of different things to me...
Expressing yourself
Not caring what others think
Using your passion to make an impact
Viewing fashion as an art form rather than just materials to consume
Having your clothes ethically made
Those are just a few things that come to my mind. Finding freedom can't be defined though, it's simply whatever makes you feel whole.

Abs: Well, finding freedom can be taken both literally and figuratively, so it's really hard to explain!
To me, finding freedom is discovering your passion and purpose in life - personally, professionally, spiritually, politically, culturally, etc. There are endless amounts of freedoms that we have in our everyday lives and futures... Ahh, for in the wise words of Aristotle, "Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom."
